The Mediterranean Sea is probably my favorite place to cruise in the whole world. This region offers such a huge variety of experiences for wheelchair users, from accessible beaches near Barcelona to elevators in Rome’s Colosseum. There are dozens of amazing cruise ports of call, and even more itineraries to consider. If you love history, beautiful architecture, museums, turquoise waters, and incredible scenery, then a Mediterranean cruise might be perfect for you.

Mediterranean cruise itineraries are commonly divided into Western and Eastern. They are further categorized into smaller geographic areas like the Greek Isles, Dalmatian Coast (Croatia), and Holy Land (Israel and Turkey). The Mediterranean Sea is a large body of water with many regions to explore by cruise, so it can be challenging to choose an itinerary.
